Haunters of the Silence is a psychological folk horror movie about loss and loneliness -and made with a tiny cast and crew. Written and directed by Tatu Heikkinen & Veleda Thorsson-Heikkinen. You should definitely sample this trailer. It might be low budget, but the planning is razor-sharp, the cinematography is gorgeous, and the sound design creeps right under your skin.

Starring Tatu Heikkinen as K, John Haughm as Hat Man, Veleda Thorsson-Heikkinen as The Wife, Davey Ferchow as the voice of The Father, and Sandy Keys as the Narrator.
In the stillness of night, a man is trapped between worlds. As darkness closes in and reality blurs, he must confront the Haunters of the Silence.
Haunters of the Silence Review Conclusion
Sometimes you come across something you know everyone needs to see: Artfully shot, with a sound that keeps you fascinated and a tendency towards dark atmospheric scenes. This story pulls you through the loss and into a panic fuelled nightmare until you can’t quite tell what’s real and what’s a dream. And I could listen to that drum music all day. This is (almost) a silent movie for modern times, with incredible sound design and fuel for your nightmares.
Haunters of the Silence will be on Tubi from the 11th of February, 2026.
