Canary -Monsters Outside and In | KT Review

Honoured to be able to review the short film, Canary, by the very talented Taka Tsubota -a Los Angeles based director, writer, and editor. A creepy, dark short in a misleading setting -A Cabin in the woods with a lived-in and abandoned feel, pouring rain in the post-apocalyptic forest beyond and the victim, Alan, stuck there with his bullies. His one ally, gone to get help. I really enjoyed it, my only complaint is that I wanted more!

When victimized by the other boys in a cabin, a boy must pick his poison: stay inside and fight his demons, or flee and face the apocalyptic landscape that real monsters have infested.

-Canery-

Starring Barron Leung as Alan (The Three Men You Meet at Night, The End of it All), Andrew Haydon Kang as Nev, Matthew Mitchell Espinosa as Ingacio (The Last Son), Thaddeus Newman as Enoch (Crown Lake, Grief), and Kiyoshi Shishido as George (Unsolved Suburbia, Noburu).
