Taboo – Series 2 Update – Finally! | KT News

**Update on Series 2**

There’s been an update!!! It’s been awhile and I was beginning to think it was never going to happen. With hints that production will start towards the end of this year and that six episodes have already been penned. But no one is giving away how the series will continue the story, or if it will even be linear. Either way, I’m probably going to have to re-watch the first season to get back in the groove -oh no… what a shame…

And if you haven’t seen it…

Taboo, featuring Tom Hardy who plays Delaney, is set in 1814. Everyone believes Delaney to be dead but he returns after ten years in Africa. He has come to claim his father’s mysterious legacy.

“…don’t mistake Taboo for some kind of dour legal drama; there’s grave robbing, arsenic poisoning, spycraft, incest, cannibalism, and ghosts…” – Allison Keene, Collider

With a cast of many familiar faces, including Oona Chaplin (Quantum of Solace, Game of Thrones), Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones), Michael Kelly (Man of Steel, House of Cards), & David Hayman (Burke & Hare, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas), this BBC & Fox collaboration promises to be a show you won’t mind getting addicted to. With only eight episodes its going to keep moving the story forward.

“There are twists and subversions — even perversions — of character tropes that make most period dramas look like an episode of Peppa Pig.” – Miranda Collinge, Esquire

The piece in Esquire, which the quote above is from, is a great interview with Tom Hardy and well worth the read. Not only about Taboo but also a number of his other projects both past and future.
