This one’s a slice and dice, diving in with a crown shattering kill to kick off the questions you need answers to. Setting the scene like a desperate and bitchy beauty queen, the competition drop like flies as Karen’s fame rises and falls like a car in floodwater. If only the paparazzi would leave her alone, she wouldn’t have to check for cameras -but go follow her Instagram, it seems important to her!

Goretastic!: Stunningly shot and creepy from the get-go, Karen the Beauty Queen Butcher brings the violence, the vanity, and enough bitchiness to power an entire series of reality TV. The film hooks you fast, from that first shattering moment to a killer reveal that practically winks at you.
Karen is an absolute menace, magnetic in an “I don’t want to root for you but I’m gonna” kinda way. Her desperation is vicious, the kills are intentional and gruesome -occasionally a bit odd in their… physics, but always satisfying in that camp-slasher way. And yes, there are moments where the visuals slip, little blips that remind you some elements weren’t crafted by human hands -but it kinda adds to the weird charm instead of derailing it.
This movie is a bitchy gorefest about a woman who will cross every boundary, moral or otherwise, to get what she wants. It’s messy, mean, and oddly compelling. If you like your beauty queens unhinged, you’re gonna wanna grab the popcorn for this one.
