Jordan Peele's Us -Did I Miss Something? | KT Review

I enjoyed Get Out so it was a safe bet that I would also enjoy Jordan Peele’s Us. And I wasn’t disappointed but I was rather confused. Well cast, and great acting, this movie kept me engrossed but maybe I looked away for a minute?

A beautiful family beach vacation with friends is disrupted when their doppelgängers turn up at the mother, Adelaide’s, childhood home where the family are staying and do their best to remove them. Terrifying the family and forcing them to defend themselves and somehow escape.

Jordan Peele’s Us Review Conclusion

I’m gonna have to watch it again – The truth is there were parts of this where I felt I’d missed something, whether that was deliberate or not I don’t know but as a result, I am going to have to watch it again which is not a problem. Enjoyable, very different, and peculiarly funny in places this was a great watch. I think part of the fun was knowing that each actor played two roles and yet somehow that hardly occurred to me whilst watching. The doppelgängers were obviously the same as the main characters and yet so different in their purpose and movements that there was no question they were the bad guys. Until…well, I can’t tell you that but it’s good.

4 Stars

Do not eat anything whilst watching this that you can’t eat without looking. Your hand knows where your mouth is, work with that. When I rewatch I’ll be getting a drink and nothing else, I have to figure out what it was I missed.

Moon by K.T. McQueen

A young woman with a promise to keep.
Another with a curse to lift.
And a werewolf looking for a new mate.
When Alice invited her friends, Sarah, Paul, and Dave to stay in her Grandmother’s Romanian farmstead they were expecting to take a break from studying and have a good time. Of course, that wasn’t the only reason Alice was there but her friends didn’t need to be involved in that. And she could happily show them where her family was from. And the town where she had spent her summers without them ever suspecting anything.
But then they meet the hunter, the werewolves catch their scent, and Sarah reveals a secret that could end her friendship with Alice and spell disaster for all of them.
