Another Dracula Movie, Nope, Rust Re-Saddled | KT Blog

It’s been one heck of a strange week, mercury going retrograde, chocolate Charles, walking a dog on a leash can lead to brain injury now apparently, and a runaway bull in a village in Cheshire. And did you see the TikTok videos of the couple being stalked by Cryptids at their home? Check out @fowl_mitten_outdoors

Dracula Untold 2?

Just caught the sent of another Dracula, you should grab your vampire hunting kit and get on this. Not that I’m against another Dracula movie, I love them. And this one is reportedly going to be London and continuing on from the end of Dracula Untold, it could be a modern retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula with the introduction of Mena. But this is just supposition, and based on the articles that have been cropping up in my feed recently, it looks mostly like a reanimated hope from those who loved Dracula Untold.

There’s no official IMDb page for it and from what I can see, most of these stories are re-emerging from January on a bit of a band wagon of hope for a sequel. I’d love a sequel but I suspect we will never get one.

I loved the idea of bringing Dracula into the modern world so much that Long Undead arose from this very supposition, what if he had simply turned to mist when they staked him at the end and reformed elsewhere. I guess there’s a little truth in the thought that ideas can be had by many people and it’s only those with the will to follow through that bring those ideas to life. Not to mention the fact that everyone gives ideas life in different ways. I love that there are so many Dracula movies, and always hope for more. He truly is immortal. But I’m gonna need everyone else to take a pause whilst I work on the novel, it’s quite distracting. Just pick a different monster, okay?

Nope

I have never found clouds suspicious before, but last weekend I was looking at those fluffy beasts like they were hiding something. And all because I watched this movie. Now, I enjoy watching Jordan Peele’s movies and I’m always intrigued by western horrors but I always feel like he’s holding back on us somehow, like he isn’t quite giving us everything. Like, his momma told him not to take things too far and he’s still holding on to that rule. I always want more from his movies.

But that said, I enjoyed Nope. A strange, dusty, out there movie that I’m sure I’ll watch again. I’d give it…

Rating: 4 out of 5.
