Calibre -There’s a Debt to be Paid | KT Review

A hunting we shall go, a hunting we shall go…

A strange start to Calibre, kind of put me a little on edge before the movie really got going. And then held it for a long time. Just beneath the snowline, the highland village sits and the two friends book into the local. But not all the locals are happy to have them there.

Calibre

When two lifelong friends head up to the Highlands of Scotland for a hunting trip nothing can prepare them for what follows.

Starring  Jack Lowden (Dunkirk, Denial)Martin McCann (’71, The Frankenstein Chronicles)Tony Curran (Crazyhead, Underworld: Evolution), and Ian Pirie (Die Another Day, The Dark Knight).

I might watch it again: – Quite a slow movie that doesn’t really require you to pay too much attention to what’s happening on screen. It could have been a radio drama – for the most part. You do spend a bit of the movie wondering why these two are friends but whatever was keeping them distant has to be put aside as they try to deal with the situation they’ve put themselves in.  And the situation just keeps getting worse.
