Sit by the pool or cage dive with sharks?
47 Metres Down is the shark movie you didn’t see coming. Well, maybe you did. There do seem to have been a lot of them recently (and more still to come). And I’m not complaining one bit. But, you know, after seeing these movies, I don’t think I’ll be taking a dip to see sharks anytime soon.
You spend about half this movie thinking ‘why didn’t they just…’ and the other half peering into the gloom for sharks.
47 Metres Down
Sisters Lisa and Kate take a vacation where they will try new things and escape the monotony of their everyday lives. But when one of those new things goes wrong they find themselves 47 metres down, in a rickety cage, face to face with a Great White Shark.
Starring Claire Holt (The Originals, Aquarius), Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember, Saved!), Chris J. Johnson (The Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire), Yani Gellman (Jason X, iZombie), Santiago Segura (Grey’s Anatomy, Hand of God), and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises, Stranger Things).
47 Metres Down Review Conclusion
I would watch it again – It’s a laying on the sofa, not feeling so good, under a million blankets with your jammies still on kinda movie. It keeps you engrossed in what’s going to go wrong next. And you just have to keep watching to see if they’re going to make it.
