The Limehouse Golem -Even Madness has its own Logic | KT Review

A Dark Drama

Considered to be a mythical creature The Limehouse Golem was thought responsible for a number of deaths. The community is shaken by the recent murders and Inspector Kildare is trying to find the perpetrator.

The Limehouse Golem stars Bill Naghy (Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man’s Chest, I, Frankenstein), Olivia Cooke (Ouija, The Signal), Douglas Booth (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Jupiter Ascending), Sam Reid (’71, Belle), Daniel Mays (Rogue One, The Bank Job), and María Valverde (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Back to Burgandy).

The Limehouse Golem **There may be Spoilers Ahead**

There’s a feeling of Sherlock, English Drama’s, and the dark grittiness of old London. Horses and carriages, long dresses, the early police forces, and the things people did to survive.

Limehouse is a district in East London, which was one of the poorest areas but its inhabitants came from a wide variety of backgrounds. The characters in the movie are largely fictional portrayals of real (sometimes famous) people living in Limehouse at the time – although some of the facts are true. The Limehouse Golem is said to have roamed the streets of London before Jack the Ripper.

The Limehouse Golem Movie Review Conclusion

I will watch it again – loved this movie. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I previously knew very little about the Limehouse Golem history. But the trailers intrigued me. Loved the characters and the stories ability to keep me guessing. Bill Naghy is always good to watch and Olivia Cooke was amazing.
