Despite things I’ve seen saying The Rig is over reaching, I really enjoyed it. I was expecting a different kind of monster but, as per usual, an unexpected monster is not a bad thing. There was some beautiful scenes, creepy and dark, that I particularly enjoyed.

The Rig Review Conclusion
I would watch another series: The characters were great in this, all of them having lives elsewhere that effected what they were doing on the rig wasn’t shoved in your face as extra info but was part of the story itself, having a direct effect on decisions made and actions taken. Confined to the platform with their communication methods down put a level of stress on the situation that grew as time went on. I couldn’t help but go back to see what happened next and who would do what. With some quite dramatic scenes and loyalties shifting and changing, the monster was humanity itself. The creature, simply doing what it had always done.
