I adore the Conjuring universe, despite a couple of not so exciting entries. The Nun makes up for the duds. Really enjoyed this movie, shot in a beautiful landscape, and whilst not particularly scary it does have its moments. Set before Ed and Lorraine encounter her in The Conjuring, this movie delves more into the legend behind the character in an Abbey full of Nuns.

A young nun takes her own life in a Romanian Abby and the Vatican sends a Priest with a haunted past and a Novitiate on the threshold of taking her final vows to investigate. They risk their lives, their faith, and their souls as they uncover the truth and fight to lay the demon to rest.
Starring Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight, Machete Kills), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story, The Mule), Jonas Bloquet (Elle, 3 Days to Kill), Bonnie Aarons (The Fighter, The Conjuring 2), Ingrid Bisu (Toni Erdmann, Outbound), and Charlotte Hope (Allied, The Theory of Everything).
The Nun Review Conclusion
Artfully done – Wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from this movie but I was pleasantly surprised. Loved it from beginning to end. I felt the strange skeletal nuns were a little on the comedic side but still fun and in keeping with the movie. A beautiful location and great fun to watch. Really enjoyed it and loved the scene in the water. Can’t wait to watch the next movie.
