The Hunt -An Unexpected Watch | KT Review

I was not planning on watching this, hadn’t even seen anything about it, and it was only as I was scrolling what was new on Netflix that I spotted The Hunt and clicked to see more. Naturally it started playing and I didn’t turn it off. And I’m glad I didn’t, really enjoyed this film. If I hadn’t just let it play I might not have chosen to watch this one. It’s a bit twisty, a bit messy, and a bit funny. Genre: horror, action, thriller.

Death Count

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose – The Hunt.

What I Thought of this Movie

I’d watch it again: Considering how unexpected watching it was, I would definitely watch it again. Maybe even this week. I really enjoyed it, it’s not a new idea. We’ve seen movies were people hunt other people before. But this one is a smidge different, starts out with a bit of Hunger Games give them weapons in a clearing kinda vibe and then splat, splat, help, kinda stuff. Can they work together, should they work together, can they trust each other? Can they even trust anyone they meet? Are they were they think they are? Bit of blood, bit of gore, and some pretty decent fight scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the idea that they were all picked up from different locations, couldn’t remember how they got there, and were just dumped in the middle of it and expected to understand what the hell was going on.
