Clown is my Favourite Clown Movie | KT Review

Clown Brains are What Colour?

Directed by John Watts and starring Andy Powers, Laura Allen, and Peter Stormare, Clown takes clowning to a whole new level. When the clown that was booked for a children’s birthday party is double booked the parents need to find an alternative. Fast. But if the dressing up box is chained down it’s probably a good idea to think of something else. Like ice cream or musical statues with prizes.

This movie had me as soon as I saw them trying to get the nose off. There was no way I wasn’t going to watch it – actually, I have no idea why it’s taken so long for me to review it…

There’s something about that desperate need to make children’s birthday parties perfect that turns every parent a little nuts. And these parents really want their kid to have a great day. And it is a great day – until Daddy tries to take off the clown costume he “borrowed” from some unknown persons carefully chained dressing up box.

The slow and deliberate transformation from man to demon is cleverly done. And then there’s the dog…

The little details really did it for me. Everything from the colour of clown brains to the tiny bones. Only someone with a really twisted mind would go that far – someone who listens to circus music to fall asleep at night. Ok, I made that last bit up. But it’s those twisted, dark, wicked things that made the movie so enjoyable for me. If you haven’t seen it yet it’s well worth the watch.

Clown Review Conclusion

I love this movie – Clown has a wicked sense of humour. It’s got peculiar little details that just add another layer for me. And I can’t help but recommend it to people – even the ones who are afraid of clowns. Especially the ones who are afraid of clowns.
