Despite a slight issue with a certain statue and a certain church, Netflix has still given us The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Christmas Special and I, for one, couldn’t be happier. And there could be some spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched the first part of this series.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Christmas Special
Sabrina has already been through a lot this year, forced to choose between the witch world of her family and the mortal world of her friends on her 16th birthday she took a different path. And, having signed her name in the book to save the town, she finally picked a side. But the problems didn’t end there. In A Midwinters Tale, as the Solstice approaches a friend is kidnapped by Santa, Sabrina summons the spirit of her mother with the only friends who will help her, and a witch comes for the Blackwood baby.
Starring Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men, Flowers in the Attic), Ross Lynch (My Friend Dahmer, Austin & Ally), Lucy Davis (Wonder Woman, Shaun of the Dead), Chance Perdomo (Midsomer Murders, The Importance of Skin), Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who, The Collection), Jaz Sinclair (Easy, Paper Towns), Tati Gabrielle (The 100, Dimension 404), and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, War of the Worlds).
Sabrina Christmas Special Review Conclusion
I would watch the Sabrina Christmas Special again – and I can’t wait for part 2 of the series. Whilst the Christmas special wasn’t quite as wraught with tension as the earlier part of the series and only gently moved the story on, it was an interesting episode that I thoroughly enjoyed. These characters are great, they don’t just accept everything and life isn’t just a simple walk in the park now that she’s a witch with her name in the book. Not everyone appreciates her magic.

Break open that bag of Pfeffernusse, pour a glass of something spiced and settle in for a dark Christmas delight.
