Moribund – Chapter Two – The Akashic Records
The Akashic records are stored in an ethereal library – that is to say, the shelves are made of filigree gold work, they stand in the clouds, and rise into the vast pale blue sky above. They travel for miles and miles in either direction and row upon row march into infinity. But no matter how hard you look you can never see further than the book shelf in front of you and the one behind. It is not meant to be easy to navigate, and there must be some sort of bond with the record for you to find it. That is to say, it should be yours.
But breathing in some of your last breaths gives me an inkling of its location. And standing in front of his I pull out the heavy tome and open to the life most recently lived – surprisingly it’s marked with a ribbon. With a little skill it’s possible to make the book float open in front of you. I’ve had lots of practice.
Altering the details of the next life is a simple task, purely because it is not expected that anyone would consider altering the records of any other being. For some obscure reason, whilst the angels, the librarians, can interact with me and see me, they cannot fathom my purpose, and so I walk with impunity amongst the shelves.
The beginning of the next life is purely factual. Gender, family born into, location, success of birth, local area activity, air pressure, land mass, prosperity, lessons that must be learnt in this life. Beyond that is a stack of blank pages. I simply copy that which needs copying onto the next page and change those details I need to. Then I take the original page from the book and eat it. Each book has a different taste, texture, sensation. Inexplicably this one taste of strawberry smoothie, is a little thick going down, but feels refreshing.
I do not have an Akashic record, I have a log book. There is no point in having an Akashic record if you have only one life – a never ending, always on the edge of death, life. I will never die, but I will never be fully alive either. I think that’s what attracted Death to me in the first place.
In my log I record the changes I have made and like a diary, the things I have done that were worth remembering. Yes, Death is in there, I’ve done Death.

What are the Akashic Records?
The Akashic Records, or “The Book of Life,” can be equated to the universe’s super-computer system. It is this system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth. – Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.
The belief is that they have influence on our day to day lives, things from our past lives that could be causing dis-harmonies in our current incarnation, and are a kind of book that stores everything you’ve ever thought, experienced, or felt, in any of your lives. And that, should you want to, you can access these records for your own benefit.
With all possible futures for each individual in their metaphysical pages it should be equally possible to dip in and discover the best path to take to lead you to the future you most desire. But like most things, it’s not that easy. You can’t read them if you hold any ill intent, no matter how innocent that might seem. You can’t be vague about what you are looking for. And it requires that you are open to receiving the information as well as the ability to meditate.
What do you think? Is your entire existence recorded for your entire eternity – this life, your past lives, and all future possible lives?
