Did you watch season 1?
Midnight, Texas is a safe haven for the supernatural community. And a number of none supernaturals too. The residents often hiding from their pasts and just trying to live quietly. So if any outsiders make an unexpected appearance and cause trouble this town comes together to deal with the intrusion. A strange ragtag bunch of misfits and sups create a family of sorts in Midnight, Texas.
Not much was expected from this show when it first aired. And not too much fuss was made about it. But it’s done a lot better than expected and the network ordered a second season and I can’t wait.
Airing in the UK on Syfy
Welcome to Midnight, Texas
We arrive in Midnight with Manford, a medium on the run, and the ghost of his Grandma. And soon meet the locals, vampires, shapeshifters, assassins, angels, witches, and humans.
From the author of True Blood, Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas is set in the same world with a whole host of new characters. In the first season, we saw them fight their own personal demons, plus a rather large one under the crossroads of Midnight itself. Staying pretty true to the book series.
Season two
Francois Arnaud (Manfred), Dylan Bruce (Bobo), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Fiji), Arielle Kebbel (Olivia), Peter Mensah (Lemuel), and Jason Lewis (Joe) returned to Midnight. Creek and the Rev had smaller roles this time around.
Season 2 saw the locals dealing with the new owners of the hotel. Where Manfred investigates a gruesome murder, Bobo goes through some changes and Fiji finally discovers what’s trying to kill him but her solution is not ideal. Olivia’s past finally catches up with her and what she wants from the future comes into question. But not everything is as it seems, and those new hoteliers have a lot to answer for.
Unfortunately, in December 2018 we learnt that Midnight, Texas would not be returning for a third season through the Peacock net. However, Universal will look for other outlets for the show so a season three could still happen. I’ll let you know if I hear anything.
