We can’t forget about the little darklings now, can we? Klaus has everything, warring families, mean kids, a reclusive old man, and even a spoiled rich kid forced to go into the family business in a distant and unwelcoming land. It even causes that weird scratching feeling behind the eyes -but that could just be because I’m allergic to real Christmas trees.
Starring Kendall Joy Hall (The Stand, Grey’s Anatomy), Joan Cusack (In & Out, Working Girl), Will Sasso (The Three Stooges, Happy Gilmore), Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation, The Social Network), J.K. Simmons (Spider-man, Juno), and Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Saving Mr. Banks).
Klaus Review Conclusion
Get the marshmallows and hot chocolate: a difficult one to turn away from, if you put this on for the kids with the intention of getting anything else done run out of the room as soon as you hit play otherwise, you’ll be in it for the whole ride. And if you’re sensible, you’ll get yourself a hot chocolate with extra marshmallows (the kids don’t need to know you got more) and maybe a candy cane to stir it in (and suck the gooey marshmallows from) and get yourself comfy, because it’s a good one. Just be aware that as the end draws near you will feel that scratching behind the eyes and may have to have your excuses at the ready, just in case the emotion cascades over. A great story, amazing animation, and characters you’ll just adore. Your darklings will definitely be cleaning their rooms when it’s over.
