This was the first one that sprang to mind when I decided to write this post. And whilst I don’t find dolls particularly scary, this is a murder spree between two lovers, with a healthy dose of comedy.

Marriage can sometimes feel like it’s gone on forever. And in the case of these two vampires, it’s been a very long time. Now living apart, this story is romance and gore in one captivating movie, particularly after her wild little sister returns.

A beautiful story about a woman who falls in love with a scientist whose experiment, unfortunately, goes very wrong.
Let the Right One in
What wouldn’t you do for the love of your life? Cute and violent, this teenage romance between a bullied boy and a vampire girl will get you in the feels.
Hellraiser
Forbidden Desire can get you in all kinds of trouble. Like finding corpses for your husband’s dead brother so he can regenerate.
Crimson Peak
Newlyweds in the old family home begin to get to know each other. But with the husband’s sister in residence, and the ghost of the bride’s mother issuing warnings, their honeymoon period does not follow the usual path.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
Dracula is a hopeless romantic, yearning to find love again. Traveling from Transylvania to London, inspired by a photograph of Mina who he believes is the reincarnation of his true love , Dracula brings seduction and terror.
Shaun of the Dead
This gory zombie fest is all about saving the girl and getting to the pub.
It’s rather funny too.

I mean, having a boyfriend is one thing but having one who is essentially dead is another. But love conquers all right? Their love brings him slowly back to life, and gives the rest of the zombie population hope…

No, not the Tom Cruise version. The original 1932 version. Where the mummy, inadvertently raised from the dead, pursues a woman he believes to be the reincarnation of his lost love. The woman he was embalmed alive for trying to save.
Which Horror Love Stories are your Favourites?
