Recently added to Netflix, Ghost Stories has been one movie I’ve been waiting to see. I rather enjoy Martin Freeman’s films and shows, ever since I watched Sherlock so I grabbed a coffee and settled in to enjoy what I was sure was going to be great entertainment. And I was delighted to discover other familiar faces. So, if you don’t have Netflix, Ghost Stories is also available on Google Play, YouTube, and Amazon Prime to buy/rent.
Ghost Stories on Netflix
A sceptical professor who spends his life debunking the supernatural embarks on a trip at the behest of one of his heroes gives him a file with three unexplainable cases. He sets out to meet and record the stories from each of the terrifying cases and determine whether they do, in fact, prove the existence of the supernatural.
Starring Andy Nyman (The Commuter, Death at a Funeral), Martin Freeman (Sherlock, Black Panther), Paul Whitehouse (The Fast Show, The Death of Stalin), Alex Lawther (The Imitation Game, Black Mirror), Paul Warren (Ready Player One, Sherlock), and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (The Double, Doctor Strange).
Ghost Stories Review Conclusion
I might watch it again – mostly to figure out what was going on near the end. For a moment or two, it lost me and I didn’t have a clue where it was headed, even though I’d seen the linking clues through each interview. The way you follow along with each individual story is creepy and quite involving.
