A surprise find, Down A Dark Hall has recently been added to Netflix UK and makes for a pleasant watch. Don’t expect great things from the story but the characters, location, and ghosts all make it worth the watch. Plus, there are few movies where fires look really real and this one, I think, gets an A+ for that alone.

A troubled teen gets sent to a boarding school for a very small number of gifted students. But those gifts come at a high price, one she isn’t sure she’s willing to pay. When she finds herself trapped by dark forces collected by the mysterious headmistress she must find a way to get herself and her new friends out before it’s too late.

Down a Dark Hall Review Conclusion
I might watch Down a Dark Hall again:- Brilliantly shot, great characters, and an amazing location. For me, the story felt a little weak, didn’t quite believe it but loved everything else. The ghosts were great, there but not there but sometimes the ‘see the ghost look away look back thing’ was a little slow. Some scenes felt entirely for show with little reasoning behind them and despite how beautifully they were shot this lessened the impact for me. The story really needed something else, more depth perhaps. But it was a pleasant watch.
