Keep Running
From one bad thing to another, Brimstone follows the story of one woman’s journey in the American West, sometime after 1866. As she tries to save her own life and the life of her daughter. But what’s at stake is much worse than death. WIth plenty of horses, shooting, fire, and faith, this movie has a lot to offer the western fan.
Brimstone
Determined to create the life she and her daughter deserve Liz shows astonishing bravery in the face of a diabolical preacher. A preacher who is determined to get what he believes is his right.
Starring Dakota Fanning (The Alienist, Coraline), Guy Pearce (Jack Irish, The Rover), Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones, Gunpowder), Paul Anderson (The Revenant, Legend), and Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones, Valkyrie).
Brimstone Review Conclusion
Yeah, I might watch it again – Brimstone is a long film, having in places the feel of the old movies. The ones that faded into the sky to harrowing classical music. It wasn’t what I was expecting and had a higgledy-piggledy feel which didn’t help keep the story fresh in my mind. Although the story itself was an interesting one. There were some particularly well-built set pieces and beautiful locations. But I have to say, in places, the characters seemed to lack the courage of their convictions so to speak.
