For some reason, I hadn’t realised Anna and the Apocolypse was a Christmas Movie. But it is and perfect for the darker nights and Christmasy feelings that filter into your horror world. With singing and zombie killings, this movie is a fun and sparkly addition to your Christmas watching. So grab a candy cane, a hot chocolate, and maybe some ice cream with raspberry sauce for this one.

When a zombie virus starts spreading across the country the students at the school don’t really pay much attention to it, they do, after all, have to put on the yearly Christmas Theatricals. But when it hits their little town they face a race against time to reach their loved ones but as the world begins to crumble around them they realise that the only people they can rely on is each other.

Anna and the Apocalypse Review Conclusion
I might watch it again -This movie had a bit of a Shaun of the Dead feel but with singing and dancing throughout. And you’d be surprised what Christmas decorations can be used as weapons. I’m not particularly one for musicals so it didn’t have me singing along but I enjoyed the humour. The focus was less on the zombies than the relationships the characters had to each other and the issues they were dealing with -but not in a particularly deep way. A good, fun movie for the time of year that blends a little horror with a little Christmas sparkle and a very large candy cane.
