You Season 2 & Season 3 Details | KT Review

Having thoroughly enjoyed You S1, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in to You Season 2. New characters, old familiars, twisted storylines and just enough suspense to keep me guessing. Although I have to say, it did wander a little bit into Dexter territory towards the end. What did you think about season 2 and are you looking forward to season 3, should we be lucky enough to get one?

**There may be spoilers ahead**

On Netflix

What would you do for love? Based on the novel by Caroline Kepnes, you follows Joe, a dangerously charming but obsessive man, who goes to extremes to learn about the particular person who has dawn his attention and become a part of their lives. Whilst not on social media, at least in the beginning, he is well versed in its potential for learning about specific people and the obstacles in his way. Season 2 sees him trying not to get involved with the fascinating Love Quinn but he doesn’t try too hard and is soon up to his usual tricks.

Starring Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl, Margin Call), Ambyr Childers (We Are What We Are, Aquarius), Victoria Pedretti (The Haunting of Hill House, Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood), James Scully (Heathers, 9-1-1), Chris D’Elia (Little Evil, Alone Together), Carmela Zumbado (The Magicians, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and Jenna Ortega (iron Man 3, Insidious: Chapter 2).

You Season 2 Review

You Season 2 Review Conclusion

I will watch another series – For all that the last few episodes of You Season 2 got a bit odd I would watch another season. Without…no wait, can’t say that…with his new circumstances things could be very different or he could just have a lot more on his plate. I like that most of the things he does have a secondary motive even if you don’t see them right away. Loved Love’s weirdness and the odd familial dependancy. Like, she seems detached from them, her own person, and yet still entirely wrapped up with them, using their resources and name to live as she wants. And with her own set of motives this series twists in unexpected ways.

Series 3

Okay, because I don’t want to spoil it for those who might not have watched You S2 yet, please scroll down past Moon to learn what we know so far about Season 3.

Moon by K.T. McQueen

A young woman with a promise to keep.
Another with a curse to lift.
And a werewolf looking for a new mate.
When Alice invited her friends, Sarah, Paul, and Dave to stay in her Grandmother’s Romanian farmstead they were expecting to take a break from studying and have a good time. Of course, that wasn’t the only reason Alice was there but her friends didn’t need to be involved in that. And she could happily show them where her family was from. And the town where she had spent her summers without them ever suspecting anything.
But then they meet the hunter, the werewolves catch their scent, and Sarah reveals a secret that could end her friendship with Alice and spell disaster for all of them.

Season 3 news continued

The ending of You Season 2 suggests that Joe might just be settling down to happily married family life. And a recent interview with Penn Badgley seems to confirm that there will be a season 3. Hinting that the pair are not the same kind of killer. And there could be much more to the character of Love’s mother.

The books that the first two seasons have been based on are yet to see the third released and it is unknown at this point whether the series will continue to follow the story written by Caroline Kepnes who has plans for a third and fourth book or follow the ideas the writers of the series have had for season 3.

Having been awarded a California Tax Credit of $7.213 million the show stands a greater chance of being renewed for season 3 but the decision rests on the back of viewer ratings. I imagine we’ll here for certain within the next month or two, so keep your eyes peeled.
