Wish Upon -Like a 2017 ‘Teen Witch’ Movie | KT Review

Music boxes weren’t creepy when I was a kid

So Wish Upon turned up on Netflix and I was like, it looks okay but it doesn’t sound great but okay I’ll give it a shot. I think it’s fair to say some of the descriptions are not great. But moving on…the movie kind of reminded me of Teen Witch. Does anyone else remember that movie? Or with elements of the craft – I mean, I know there’s no actual witch in it but the music box and the wishes thing…plus there’s Jerry O’Connell (Sliders, Dr. Mike in Scream Queens).

Wish Upon – Horror Movie

Seven wishes to change your life however you want, want to be rich – done, want to start a new business the easy way -no problem. But there is a cost. There’s always a cost. And when a father finds a beautiful Chinese music box and gives it to his teenage daughter, she can’t help but make hopeful wishes.

Starring  Joey King (The Conjuring, The Kissing Booth)Ryan Phillippe (Shooter TV Series, Brooklyn Nine-Nine)Ki Hong Lee (Maze Runner, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Mitchell Slaggert (Diablo Guardian, Write When You Get Work), Shannon Purser (Riverdale, Stranger Things), and Sydney Park (The Walking Dead, Lifeline).

Wish Upon Review Conclusion

I would watch it again: – Wish Upon was way better than I was expecting. Loved the ending, was not ready for that at all. And whilst it wasn’t a massively complex story it was fun and teenage and filled with bad decisions. Also, watch through the credits 🙂
