The Umbrella Academy -Not Your Average Superheros | KT Review

Superheroes haven’t left Netflix entirely, with series 2 of The Umbrella Academy arriving on July 31st you can still get your fix. And after the first series, I’m wishing July away just to get to watch it. It was dark, it was different, and the superheroes weren’t all that inclined to be super. It’s time to go back to the beginning and rewatch (or watch it for the first time if you haven’t already seen it) so you’re ready for the new season, which is looking epic.

The Umbrella Academy Season 1

When 43 women around the world unexpectedly give birth on the same day, one man, Colm Feore (Riddick, Thor), manages to adopt six of them and trains them to save the world. But over time, they drift apart and start living their own lives. Coming back together only when their adoptive father dies. And learn of the worlds impending doom.

Starring, as the six adoptees, Ellen Page (Juno, Inception), Tom Hopper (Black Sails, Game of Thrones), David Castañeda (Sicario 2: Soldado, Blindspot), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Wednesdays, A Million Little Things), Robert Sheehan (Fortitude, Misfits), an d Aidan Gallagher (Modern Family, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn). And as the agents Mary J. Blige (Mudbound, Rock of Ages), and Cameron Britton (Mindhunter, Stitchers).

The Umbrella Academy Review Conclusion

Yes! I will watch this again:– A strange and unusual series that keeps your interest even when you have no idea what is going on. There are hints, of course, if you’re paying attention. The abilities are a little different, the twists are fairly well hidden, and their personal lives are all blended in well. It makes you want to keep watching. It makes you want to know if your suspicions are right. I can’t wait to see what happens next -fingers crossed for a second season.

4.5 Stars

Smiley face breakfasts and donuts would be excellent choices. Oh, and coffee. There has to be coffee.
