The Sisters Brothers -Guns, Acid, Gold | KT Western Review

I got a little bit excited when I realised The Sisters Brothers was on NowTV, so I grabbed my salted popcorn and got comfy. These days a good western can be hard to find but we seem to have had a few years of new westerns. This is one of the more recent ones and I have to say a really enjoyable watch.

The Sisters Brothers Review Conclusion

I would watch it again – This movie actually had a real hands-over-my-face oh-my-god moment. A rich landscape provides the backdrop for the brothers’ journey across Oregon and into San Fransisco and the battles and dilemmas they encounter on the way. There was little to distract from the story whilst providing to plenty to support the setting and story. The horses were gorgeous, and the injuries realistic and believable. What I’m saying is, this was a proper western, a western to get lost in. A story that ebbs and flows and has layers. The characters are well defined and wonderfully played and I just loved it.

5 Stars

You might consider a tin of beans whilst you watch this, or maybe a nice son-of-a-gun stew with some freshly baked bread. A nice bottled beer to wash it down or hot coffee strong enough to stand a spoon up in.
