The House with a Clock in Its Walls | KT Review

This movie came highly recommended from my mother, who watched The House with a Clock in Its Walls on a plane to Japan. Of course, it’s an Eli Roth movie so I had to watch it -just love his work. And Jack Black is in it, and Cate Blanchet and angry pumpkins and a pet armchair. And I have to say, there was no looking at my phone whilst I watched this one -it just wouldn’t release me from the story.

Released in September 2018, it’s now available on Amazon Prime.

On Amazon Prime

A young orphan goes to live with his eccentric uncle in a very peculiar house. The house has a clock in its walls, and his uncle is a warlock and makes sure his nephew knows the rules. Together, and with the help of their neighbour (a witch) they must locate the clock to prevent the end of the world.

Starring Jack Black (Goosebumps, School of Rock), Cate Blanchett (Carol, Oceans’s Eight), Owen Vaccaro (Daddy’s Home, Mother’s Day), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Altered Carbon, The Good Wife), and Colleen Camp (Dead Woman Walking, Aquarius).

The House with a Clock in Its Walls Review Conclusion

Yup, gonna watch this one again:- Absolutely loved this film. A fun, fairly fast-paced movie with a lot going on. I think that cat needs litter training though. Vivid characters with lots to see. A very absorbing watch. Oh, and Eli Roth is in there too, see if you can spot him.

5 Stars

Pumpkin pie wouldn’t go amiss, or huge chocolate and nut cookies with a glass of milk perhaps. You can also grab a copy of the DVD or digital movie on Amazon Prime by clicking on the image below.
