The Boy – Stick to the schedule| KT Review

Creepy Doll Time

The Boy isn’t a particularly creepy looking doll. But having recently been told about the escapades of a recently purchased and equally un-creepy looking doll. One that’s potentially haunted. I know that, on a scale of safe for a child all the way through to burn it, that can be an advantage. To the doll.

When you’re running from something you might find yourself looking back more often than forwards. Even in life. This is not the time to be looking back. Focus on the now. On the right now. Or you could miss what’s right in front of your eyes. Do you believe dolls can be haunted?

The Doll

An American nanny is shocked to find that her charge is not a boy but a life-sized doll that the British couple she is employed by treat like a child. After she violates a list of very strict rules a series of disturbing events take place. And she begins to wonder if the doll is actually alive.

Starring  Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice), Rupert Evans (The Man in the High Castle, The Canal), James Russell (Unforgettable, Forever), Jim Norton (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Water for Elephants), and Diana Hardcastle (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The Kennedys).

The Boy Review Conclusion

I might watch this again – It starts out a little slowly and takes its time showing you what it has in store. But it’s set in a creepy house -perfect for watching alone in the dark. And slowly things get more and more complicated. Not at all where I expected it to go.
