When a sister and brother hear a young child calling for help from the field of long grass in Kansas, beside where they’ve stopped, they decide the only option is to go in and help. But soon they discover that finding the way back out again is impossible and there’s something else in the grass, something that doesn’t want them to leave.

Here in the garden of forking paths, you didn’t make any one choice. You made every choice. And they all led back to me.Cal DeMuth
In The Tall Grass Review Conclusion
I might watch it again – A really enjoyable, twisty, and fun watch. It seems straightforward enough: go in, find the kid, make your way back out. It’s what anyone would do, right? I loved the way it switched back and forth, how the grass (or the rock) had control of time and pathways, and how the longer they were in there the more they became suspicious of each other. I also rather enjoyed how many other vehicles would sometimes be present at the church, equally dusty and neglected and I found myself wondering how many others had wandered in, walking their own paths, that we never encountered. Luckily, grass around here isn’t usually passed thigh height so I’m not to worried.
