Cari Mora | Thomas Harris is Back

If, like me, you’re a fan of the Hannibal series you’ll be happy to know that Thomas Harris is back, after a break of…years with his new novel Cari Mora. Stephen King has already read it, you think he’ll lend me his copy now? How does one get on the pre-release copy lists?

Cari Mora

So, this is not a Hannibal book. It’s a totally new story that’s filled with the consequences of dark obsession -so, you already know it’s gonna be good. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book, it’s like an itch I can’t scratch yet.

Cari Mori has escaped violence in her own country and now works many jobs, under a shaky Temporary Protected Status in Miami. Beautiful and war-scarred, she catches the eye of Hans-Peter Schneider, who makes a living off other men’s violent fantasies. As he closes in she must make use of her surprising skills to survive. She’s done it before, she’ll do it again.

Thomas Harris

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1940, Thomas Harris started out his career covering crimes and murders for the Associated Press. And in 1975 he wrote his first novel, Black Sunday. Many people encountered Harris for the first time when the movie The Silence of the Lambs came out, although this was not the first movie about Hannibal Lecter. That movie, Manhunter, was based on the first book Red Dragon. You can read more about Thomas Harris here, and I bet you read the whole bio in Hannibal Lector’s voice.

Cari Mora will be released on May 16, 2019

And it’s available from Amazon, Waterstones, and Hive -Amazon is the cheapest for the hardcover. The Kindle edition is £9.99

When I finally get my hands on this book, you might not hear from me for a while. Now, what do you suppose the perfect snack for this book is going to be…
