1922 – A Stephen King Adaptation | KT Review

The consequences of our decisions don’t always turn out for the best…

In 1922 a family of three live out their existence on a farm. Life is boring, repetitive, but productive. The farmer would be happy spending the rest of his life there but his wife wants to sell up and move. She plans to leave, he plans her murder.

1922 stars Thomas Jane (The Mist, Deep Blue Sea)Molly Parker (HOuse of Cards, Deadwood)Dylan Schmid (Once Upon a Time, Horns), Kaitlyn Bernard (Cadence, When Calls the Heart), Neal McDonough (Arrow, Suits).

I had no idea what to expect from this movie but I liked it **spoilers ahead**

Murder is sin, murder is damnation, but murder is also work.

It was a little slow in places but so would life be at that time on occasion, so it didn’t bother me so much as it might, had I been watching a modern movie. What I mean to say is, if the movie had been set in the current time period I would have expected it to have a faster pace to reflect the speed at which we live today.

1922 Review Conclusion

I would watch it again – 1922 was a good movie, well shot, great soundtrack, and intriguing actors. I did expect a little more from the ghost of his wife, and I did think that cow had come back to haunt him too, but, looking back on it, I reckon there was just the right amount of messed up for the story.
