Rings – First You Watch it then You Die | KT Review

Wow, way more than I was expecting

When her boyfriend goes off to college Julia doesn’t expect anything to go wrong. But when she can’t get hold of him and some strange girl calls her she drives up to find him. And then she discovers the video.  In an attempt to save him she watches the video and with only seven days to cure herself of the curse or meet a grisly end the pair take off to a small town in an attempt to get to the bottom of it.

Starring Matilda Anna Ingrid (Summertime, L’Universale), Alex Roe (The 5th Wave, Hot Summer Nights), Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory, Hancock), Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil, The Magnificent Seven), and Aimee Teegarden (Notorious, The Ranch).

Rings **Spoilers Ahead**

I wasn’t expecting much from this movie so it was a surprise that from the very beginning it had me watching closely. I didn’t want to miss anything, or any of the little clues. Which was probably the point and definitely made the jump scares more effective. And it had this lovely habit of leading you down one path and then taking a swift 90 degree turn and taking you down a new route. And then there are the things that you are sure you should have noticed but didn’t, the things that were obvious after the fact. I really enjoyed this movie.

Rings Movie Review Conclusion

I will watch it again – More than I was expecting, the Rings movie kept me guessing with twists, jumps, and surprises. It seemed to constantly morph into something else. Loved it.
