Mistletoe can be deadly, if you eat it | KT Xmas

Watched my first Xmas movie yesterday, and, if you can’t guess from the title, it was Batman Returns. Nostalgia ahoy! Always loved Cat Woman in this one, the Penguin was just how I remembered. Not your normal Christmas story. And about as far from a Hallmark movie as you can get, unless you consider that an orphan returns to his hometown to find out who his parents were with the help of a local businessman and discovers a new career. There’s no luck on the relationship front though.

It’s been a few years since I watched Batman Returns, and, just like every other time, I enjoyed it.

Batman Returns

Starring Michael Keaton as Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer as Cat Woman, Danny DeVito as Penguin, Christopher Walken as Max Shreck, Michael Gough as Alfred, Pat Hingle as Commissioner Gordon, and Cristi Conaway as the Ice Princess.

While Batman deals with a deformed man calling himself the Penguin wreaking havoc across Gotham with the help of a cruel businessman, a female employee of the latter becomes the Catwoman with her own vendetta.

I guess you could say my brain told me to do a sort of blogmas and it might be a nuts idea that I can’t keep up with but what the hell, tis the season to make obscene promises and cross your fingers until stuff arrives. This plus regular Christmas prep, writing the novel, regular posts, and whatever the hell else crops up should make these posts get more and more chaotic over the rest of the month. Join me as I descend into Christmas.

So, what did I eat: pepperoni pizza (because partridge just seemed so extravagant in our current times), one small square of chocolate, and a coconut macaroon. Plus, the usual coffee, black, no sugar.

And I slept like a hibernating bear.
