Looking Glass – Cage & Tunney | KT Review

There’s a been a lot of well-received Nicolas Cage movies recently so I figured Looking Glass would be a good place to start with this week’s reviews. And if all you’re wanting is a little bit of Nicolas Cage dancing, well, this ones got you covered – briefly.  Let’s just say, this movie will have you checking that website you remember seeing about how to tell if a mirror is a two-way glass. Partnered up with Robin Tunney, there relationship is as deep as the problems they encounter.

Looking Glass

When a grieving couple takes over a motel in the desert trying to make a new start, it seems like the perfect escape. What they begin to discover at the motel soon leads them to become entangled in the properties sinister history.

Starring Nicolas Cage (Mandy, Mom and Dad), Robin Tunney (The Craft, The Mentalist), Marc Blucas (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Underground), Ernie Lively (The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, Turner & Hooch), Kassia Conway (Magnum P.I., The Scent of Rain & Lightning), and Jacque Gray (One Shot, Phobic).

Looking Glass Review Conclusion

I would watch it again – It’s the little things, it’s all a little peculiar but there’s a bunch of things that have you wondering from the start and one after the other they start to mount up. And then things get really weird. And there’s a moment in the motel office with Ray and the Sheriff that’s just brilliant. And you get the distinct sense that you’re as clueless about what’s going on as Ray himself. It’s not fast action, although there is some, and it’s not an ‘easy to figure out who done it’ movie (I had my suspicions but I wasn’t sure).

3.5 Stars

Feels like a lazy Saturday evening movie so grab a beer, maybe a burger and fries, and settle in for this one. .
