Happy! -No Santa, Bad Santa | KT Review

Wasn’t expecting Happy! to be Christmasy or that Santa would do that. So many things deliciously wrong with this show that you can’t help but snigger, lol, and recommend it to anyone who might watch. And a little rabbit whispered in my ear that there’s talk of an Easter one.

Happy! on Netflix

An ex-police detective turned hitman starts seeing a small blue unicorn with a bit of an attitude everywhere. He used to be the best detective in the whole department, now he has an imaginary blue unicorn trying to get him to save his daughter from a bad Santa (the detective’s daughter not the unicorn’s daughter).

Starring Christopher Meloni (Man of Steel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Lili Mirojnick (Cloverfield, Friends with benefits), Patton Oswalt (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Medina Senghore (Blindspot, The Three Way), Ritchie Coster (The Dark Night, Let Me In), Bryce Lorenzo (Bull, Custody), and Patrick Fischler (Twin Peaks, Once Upon A Time).

Happy! Review Conclusion

I can’t wait to see the next series – This was funny from the get-go, and visually pleasing too. Wondering the whole way through whether he could die or whether he was just bizarrely lucky (in a not so lucky kinda way). Everything from having the imaginary friend translate for him to the slo-mo blood splatter had me entranced. A bloody brilliant show. Can’t wait for the next series.

5 Stars

Beer, crisps, biscuits – anything snacky and not too messy, you’re gonna laugh and you don’t wanna be spillin’ spaghetti sauce down your top.
