Emmy Nominations 2018: Stranger Things, AHS, & More

But What We’re Really Interested in is Horror

Horror is often forgotten during awards nominations so it’s interesting to see which of our favourite shows make it into the spotlight.  And truth be told, whilst horror gets a look in it’s very limited. So, I’ve included dark comedies, crime, fantasy and other related shows of interest from this years Emmy Nominations.

Currently, the voting members stand at over 23 thousand and represent specific industry professions. A program, performer, or achievement must be submitted to be considered for nominations – you can even submit yourself if you are eligible. This year the entries totalled over 9100 for 122 categories. First nominations are tallied, then they’re checked by Ernst & Young Accountants, and then in mid-July, they’re announced. Read more about eligibility here.
