Don’t Blink | A Place to Lose Yourself | KT Review

What an amazing location, I’d definitely book a room there…

Don’t Blink stars Mena Suvari, Brian Austin Green, Joanne Kelly, Zack Ward, and Robert Picardo.

When ten friends booked a getaway off season, in a beautiful mountain location, they didn’t expect to find no one when they got there. The lodge appears lived in, there are cars in the car park, and personal belongings in the cabins. But where did everyone go? With no gas they can’t make it back to the closest town. They have no choice but to stay and try to find out what happened to everyone.

I loved that the strangeness of the situation got me wondering what was going on right from the beginning. With little clues but very few logical answers. It quickly descends into disagreements and bad decisions. Especially since one by one they begin to disappear. Leaving no trace or reason for their vanishing.

I was a little disappointed not to find out why it was happening, especially after the suits arrived. I was pretty sure all would become clear but I was left hanging. And whilst I don’t think it was essential to know – the movie worked anyway – it would have been nice to have at least an idea of what it really was. I’m still thinking Aliens – probably the only thing they didn’t suggest in the movie.

Don’t Blink Review Conclusion

I’d watch it again – Don’t Blink was a pretty decent movie. The wondering what was going to happen began as soon as they arrived at the cabin and didn’t let up. Whilst it’s not a very complicated idea and you never find out exactly what is happening or why, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
