Cold Pursuit -An Unexpectedly Fun Movie | KT Review

I was doing the usual hope for something to watch flick through everything and landed on Cold Pursuit, hadn’t seen it before and almost always enjoy Liam Neeson movies. The premise intrigued me and I wasn’t disappointed, in fact i got more than I expected.

On Amazon Prime

Just a hardworking man doing his job, plowing the same road to keep it clear, for the locals. Awarded citizen of the year in the glitzy resort town, he has a quiet determination when it comes to his job. A determination that lends itself to dealing with the drug dealing killers of his son. The father does whatever he can, and uses his one close contact into that world, to track the killers down and deal out his own kind of justice. Trouble is, it brings more trouble to the town when the gang think it’s a rival gang killing off their people. And to his life. And there are a lot more deaths, some of them quite messy. You can watch this on Amazon Prime now with their latest offer.

Starring Liam Neeson (Taken, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Laura Dern (Big Little Lies, Twin Peaks), Micheál Richardson (Vox Lux, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues), Michael Eklund (Van Helsing, Wynonna Earp), Bradley Stryker (Altered Carbon, Lost in Space), and Wesley MacInnes (The 100, Supernatural).

Cold Pursuit Review Conclusion

I’ll watch it again – icy cold, this film brings the humour and offers you unexpected laughs. The idea that these people were going missing and no one was doing much to figure out why whilst waving at the culprit was just brilliant. The law certainly wasn’t about to get in the way of his justice but the rival drug sellers might. With a whole host of familiar faces (I didn’t realise the cast of Heartland worked on other stuff too) and a lot of acting normal this movie is a good fun watch.
