Badland

A Detective named Matthias Breecher, who’s quite handy with his guns, is hired to track down the worst war criminals scattered across the old west. With no backup and only his wits and his guns with which to arm himself, his resolve is tested when he comes upon a pioneer woman with some ideas of her own. Someone is trying to take her ranch whilst her daddy lays dying, and she ain’t about to let that happen.

Starring Kevin Makely (Any Bullet Will Do, Zeroville), Mira Sorvino (Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Modern Family), Bruce Dern (The Hateful Eight, Mr. Mercedes), Wes Studi (Penny Dreadful, Hostiles), Trace Adkins (The Lincoln Lawyer, Deepwater Horizon), Jeff Fahey (Hell on Wheels, Alita: Battle Angel), and Tony Todd (Candyman, Scream: The TV Series).

When will we get it in the UK?

Right now I don’t know, there’s no indicator on IMDb or anywhere else I’ve looked. But like many westerns shot for the American audience we may get them on our streaming services or for download within the year. I will keep this page updated when I know more about when it’s available over here.

You know, sometimes I think they don’t think we like westerns in the UK. In the US they have their very own channel for it. It would be nice, I think, to have a channel for westerns that perhaps showed us all the new westerns that seem to be available across the pond. I think the western channel is Paramount over there, I’m not sure so don’t quote me on that -wonder if they could be persuaded…

Because I enjoy westerns, particularly new ones done well, if you hadn’t noticed. I mean, if they can do Christmas in November movie channels I’m sure they could do something similar -especially since there are also so a heap of more recent western shows and it seems to be having a little bit of a revival -again. I don’t wanna watch old movies all the time, I like new movies, new stories, and cowboy boots in the dust.
